Two things make your newspaper unique

No off-the-shelf newspaper: we connect the real day back then with the person today.

Researched

The day as it really was

We research the real day in verified sources: the events of the exact date of birth, the weather at the place of birth and the number-one hit. Only what happened on exactly that day goes into the paper. Nothing is made up.

What was actually going on when you were born? Hardly anyone knows. That is exactly what makes this gift so exciting.

Personal

A person as they really are

An article of its own about the birthday person and a letter from you on the front page. For that we need your details: where they live, job, family, hobbies, a shared memory.

The more you tell us, the more personal the paper becomes. Three or four sentences are enough.

A look inside the newspaper

Three samples with four pages each: the day back then and the person today. Tap a page to see it large.

More than paper: a birthday website of their own

Every newspaper comes with its own website, just for the birthday star. A QR code in the paper leads there: your photo, your voice and your video are waiting. For a whole year, as often as they like.

Your voice, your videoRecord a few kind words right in the browser, or upload a video from your phone. Nothing touches the heart quite like it.
The song from the big dayWhat was on the radio when it all began? One tap and the hit of that day plays on YouTube or Spotify.
To leaf through and keepThe newspaper is right there too: browse at leisure, download it, print it and stick it on the fridge.
Online for a whole yearFor twelve months the website belongs to the birthday star alone: to watch and listen again on grey days. Then we quietly tidy up and delete everything.

Your newspaper, page by page

Four A4 pages, lovely on a phone and on paper.

3Personal touch

Tell us about the personThis is what makes the paper personal. From your details we write an article about the person today and the letter on the front page. We add nothing of our own: what you don’t write isn’t in it. Three or four sentences are enough, more makes it even nicer. Without details, it becomes a paper about the day with a short birthday wish.

Your greeting for the front page

Who is the newspaper from? This is how we sign the letter and birthday wish.

Photo of the birthday person (optional)

Your video greeting (optional, from your phone)

Photo, video and voice message are optional and included in the price. You can also add them after payment via the link in your confirmation email.

From carefully selected, verified sources on current affairs, music and weather. Everything in the paper happened on exactly that day. We write the texts ourselves, and every edition is checked automatically before it is sent.

How do I pay?

Securely via Digistore24, with PayPal, credit card or Klarna. You automatically receive an invoice. The price of €14.90 is a final price including your country’s statutory VAT and is the same in every country. The seller and invoice issuer is Digistore24 GmbH.

What happens to my details?

We use them only for your newspaper. Photo, video and voice message stay on the greeting page for twelve months and are then deleted.

A name is misspelled. What now?

Just drop us a line; we’ll correct it free of charge and send you the newspaper again.

Is there an app?

Yes, without an app store: open the page on your phone and choose “Add to Home Screen”. Birthday Paper then sits on your phone like an app, with a balloon icon.

Which days can I get a newspaper for?

Does the newspaper play music?

The PDF contains links to the hit of the day on YouTube and Spotify. Your voice or video message plays on the greeting page that the QR code opens.

How long is the greeting page online?

Twelve months. After that we delete it, along with the voice or video message and photo. The PDF is yours forever.

Can I print the newspaper?

Yes, as often as you like. It is designed for A4 and looks just as good on paper as on a phone.
