• 1129 At the Council of Troyes, the independence of the Knights Templar is recognized.
• 1775 The comic opera La finta giardiniera (The Gardener from Love) by Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart has its world premiere in Munich.
• 1902 The first adult education center in the German Reich is established in the Red City Hall in Berlin.
• 1935 In the plebiscite in the Saar territory, 90.7 percent of participants vote for the reintegration of the Saar territory into the German Reich. Before the vote, the slogan "Home to the Reich" is probably also used for the first time.
• 1957 Wham-O produces the Pluto discs developed by Walter Frederic Morrison, which later become known as Frisbee discs.
